Pros: Runs XP and all my programs solid and fast. For the time being this old geezer will stick with XP.
Cons: Touch pad is not great but adequate. I'd use an external mouse.
Other Thoughts: Newegg's shipping is great. Received within 2 days UPS.

Pros: 2 core and included Win 7 Pro DVD for this price? No brainer.
Cons: No hardware virtual machine support on this cpu so don't expect to run XP mode.

For School

Tech Level Tech Level: high - Ownership: 1 month to 1 year
This user purchased this item from Newegg
Pros: Solid laptop with enough power to play games while I'm waiting for class to start, but also conservative enough to power though 4 hours at the library writing reports. Definitely worth the price and am very glad to have it.
Cons: Comes with XP pre-installed. Extremely easy to upgrade to Win 7, but it was a bit of a hassle. Scrolling function on the touchpad doesn't work OOB with Win 7. The power consumption initially said that I had only 7 minutes of battery power remaining (after full charge) but after a difficult to find install package from Lenovo, the power management improved significantly to 4 hours on full charge.
Other Thoughts: Shame on Lenovo for not including support for ALL of it's laptop's devices on an Operating System it provided with their lap
